Parents enjoy a Medieval Banquet with pupils

Class 4MN have been studying Macbeth by William Shakespeare. To reinforce their learning, they re-enacted the play and filmed it. Mr Gordon Tillman, Headteacher is quoted as saying the film was ‘Brilliant. The best Macbeth adaptation I have ever seen’. The finale to the topic was a Medieval Banquet on Wednesday, 9th May. The Class Team and the pupils all got dressed up, decorated their classroom with props and creative resources they had made or borrowed and prepared the most fantastic spread which they shared with pupils’ parents and family members. An inspiring way to round off the topic, everyone had the most wonderful time and parents’ really enjoyed being part of their children’s learning, we have had some great feedback from them:-

"Thank you so much for the wonderful 'film premiere' of Macbeth yesterday.  And the beautifully prepared medieval feast afterwards.  Everything was done with so much care and attention to detail...everything was a visual feast for the eyes...Thank you again for the invitation and for a truly wonderful time".

"Thank you for all the hard work which made Macbeth so great yesterday.  It was a lovely occasion".

"Thank you all for a wonderful show and a great banquet.  It was really nice to see everyone all dressed up".

"Grandad thoroughly enjoyed Macbeth and said it was amazing!"
