School Residentials

Our Wider Curriculum offers pupils at Oakley the opportunity to participate in ambitious, day and residential trips with significant benefits that extend beyond the classroom. These experiences promote essential social interactions and foster independence in a supportive environment. By engaging in progressively challenging and carefully structured trips, pupils can develop confidence, resilience, and critical life skills at a supportive pace. The systematic planning ensures that each Phase builds upon the previous one, allowing pupils to acclimate to new settings and expectations gradually. Such an approach not only enhances their social capabilities but also encourages personal growth, preparing them for greater autonomy and participation in wider community life.

Bore Place 2025 - Year 6

Pupil Voice and Family Feedback

''In the run up to the Bore Place Trip, I added the word to Josh’s speech device and he started to use it to tell us he was going to Bore Place in May. He was very excited! We also put it on our wall calendar so he could see it coming up. I saw the trip as a fantastic opportunity for Joshua to explore his independence in a safe, supported environment with teaching staff he was familiar and his friends. He had a fantastic time, and I loved seeing the pictures of him and his friends having lots of fun together. Creating memories that will last forever! ❤️''
