  • Celebrating success

    Fri 27 Jan 2017

In our Friday Celebration Assembly this morning, students were presented with a signed copy of Roy Apps' new book 'The Top Secret History of Codes and Codebreaking'.  Roy acknowledges the students of Oakley School in the book, for their help writing the glossary.

Rochester House won the most tokens this week and were awarded the House cup (Bodium were a very close second, beaten by just 7 tokens!)  Rochester House captains are pictured with their well deserved trophy.

  • Roy Apps is visiting Oakley School

    Wed 25 Jan 2017
Roy Apps, a British screenwriter, dramatist and children’s author and Oakley School's Champion of Reading, is visiting Oakley's Tunbridge Wells site today.  He is running drama workshops with some of our Key Stage 4 and Further Education students as part of their Arts Awards.  Everyone is very excited Roy is here: so many of our young people and staff enjoy the performing arts.
  • Donation of bulbs

    Thu 12 Jan 2017

The staff and students of Oakley School would like to thank Notcutts Garden Centre in Pembury for their very generous donations of bulbs. Outdoor Learning is an important part of our curriculum and our students have had such a great time weighing the bulbs, counting them, and planting them, we have managed to find so many learning opportunities from such a simple resource. We are also looking forward to watching them flower in the Spring, so that we can see the result of all our hard work.  Thank you again to everyone at Notcutts for their continued support and generosity.
