  Congratulations to pupils from Murray and Farah Classes who scooped the fastest time in the Kent Independent State School Partnership (ISSP) soapbox race at Kent College on Wednesday!

  

• Voice of the Child in Schools

  The Kent Participation Team visited Oakley School this week to meet pupils and hear from the School Council about the ‘Voice of the Child in schools’. As always our pupils were brilliant at sharing what they like about school, who helps them to learn and how they stay safe!

  

• Silver Duke of Edinburgh Expedition

  After their practice expedition before half term, this week some of our Phase 4 pupils are doing their Silver Duke of Edinburgh final assessment and expedition. Yesterday they walked from Tonbridge to Tunbridge Wells and then camped overnight. They are off walking again today before their second night under canvas and then they will walk back to Tonbridge on Friday. They are already a little weary but they've had a hearty breakfast and are in very good spirits, showing great determination and team work - we are so proud of them all!
