Keep up to date with all the latest news happening in school at the moment.
Covid was not going to stop Holmes Class this week from setting up The Pancake Palace. Combining English (reading menus, writing orders and receipts), maths (money, change and using calculators), social communication (being both the customers and cafe staff), drama (role play) and art (designing the backdrop) and of course food tech, the students created an outside experience indoors. Their Class Teacher said she "would certainly employ a lot of the students if I owned a cafe"!
As always, the pupils and staff fully embraced Pudsey and had a wonderful time raising money for Children in Need. Pudsey visited some classes, there were cake sales, messy play, face painting, biscuit decorating, pin the tail on Pudsey, penalty shoot outs and lots more. What a great way to end the week. In total, we raised £363.29 - thank you to everyone involved and to parents and carers for their support with the event.
