• Oakley School pupils helping 'Keep Britain Tidy'

  On the morning of Thursday, 13th February, Oakley School's Eco committee met and decided to join a Keep Britain Tidy campaign to contact a local business and become a #LitterHero and declare littering as unacceptable!

   

  Keep Britain Tidy had sent us a template letter which we added our personal touch to and it was then printed and delivered to our local Tesco customer services desk by Eco Reps from Maple class during their food tech shopping trip.

   

  In the letter we asked Tesco to join us in the campaign and clear up their car park, but also to encourage their customers to join in too.  We will let you know how Tesco respond.

  

• Oakley pupils learning to put out fires!

  On Thursday, 30th January, our Phase 2 pupils were visited by Kent Fire and Rescue Services and had a great time learning about all the apparatus - we were even referenced on the Service's twitter feed:

  We can't thank the Service enough for their visit - the pupils (and staff) loved it!
