At Oakley School we are ambitious for our pupils and offer a rich Creative Curriculum that is personalised and offers learning in school as well as in the community. Our skilled and dedicated staff team work very hard to make learning motivating, interactive, challenging and fun, whilst ensuring that all our children and young people feel safe, valued and self-confident. We promote “Skills for Life and Independence” so that when pupil leave Oakley School they are prepared for the next phase in their lives and have the best opportunities.
Pupils' wellbeing and engagement is central to all our decision making and how we structure our school and the interventions we use.
Our Wider Curriculum offers excellent enrichment activities including: lunch and after school clubs, curriculum trips and residential experiences in the United Kingdom and abroad. These opportunities provide pupils time and experiences to develop their life skills in new places and with different people in preparation for their next steps.
We work collaboratively across our school community with our Families, Therapists, NHS Colleagues and other professionals and external organisations to support and meet the needs of our pupils.

Oakley School is looking for an enthusiastic, skilled, and caring professional to lead our Early Years Outreach Intervention Service. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in improving early outcomes for children across the Tunbridge Wells district.

About the role
As our Early Years Outreach Intervention Service Lead, you will:
Provide specialist SEND support across local Early Years settings
Design and deliver targeted intervention programmes (e.g., wellbeing, emotional regulation, communication, and sensory support)
Model best practice to nursery staff, supporting inclusive teaching and early identification
Work directly with children and families through 1:1 and small‑group sessions
Support transitions into mainstream or specialist settings
Line‑manage and develop our Specialist Intervention Nursery Outreach Assistants
Build strong relationships with Early Years leaders, therapists, and multi‑agency partners
Contribute actively to the Early Years Professional Resource Group (EYPRG)
Keep high‑quality records and provide clear feedback to families and settings

Have experience supporting children with SEND
Are confident working in Early Years environments
Can lead, coach and inspire others
Communicate effectively with families and professionals
Are organised, compassionate and reflective in your practice
Hold a full driving licence and have access to your own car (travel required across TW settings)
Relevant qualifications and experience in education, early years or SEND are desirable.

Location and travel
You will work flexibly across multiple Early Years settings in the Tunbridge Wells district, Kent. A full driving licence and use of your own vehicle are essential.

Salary: Kent Scheme Grade D £26,393 + SEN Allowance £1484.97 (pro rata)
Location: Tunbridge Wells and surrounding Early Years settings
