On Saturday we had the Oakley Big Dig and WOW what a day!
70 volunteers arrived to help with all the hard work planned, friends, families and local business supporting Oakley School.
Sue Hobbs (Forest School Teacher) and her huge team of helpers completed so many tasks to include, Finishing the patio and wildflower area behind polytunnel, digging, weeding, and seeds sown.
Digging up an area opposite the wildflower section, installed posts and put trellis up. Edged the Superbloom garden in log roll, tended to beds in the Superbloom garden by digging, weeding and adding topsoil. The Flower/sensory garden was weeded and tidied with topsoil added and a chamomile bed created. Bat & bird boxes were put up, nettles in veg garden removed and the carrot troughs weeded!
