Outreach to Mainstream Nurseries
Where a child carries out a dual placement, attending a mainstream nursery as well as the specialist nursery, outreach takes place. The Early Years leader will observe the child in their mainstream setting and offer support to the mainstream nursery where needed. Action points are made to provide consistency across both settings and ways forward to benefit the child. Often the mainstream nursery setting staff are invited into the specialist nursery where they can discuss the child with the specialist nursery key worker and focus on successful strategies.
