As part of our Forest Schools work this term Phase 2 classes ( Ash, Elm, Chestnut & Willow) have been finding out all about birds; how to identify common birds, what different foods birds liked to eat and how their bodies are designed to help them fly.
They have designed bird feeders, the weirder and more wonderful the better and then used cheerios, apples, seeds, lard, cheese and dried fruits to make fat balls and rings of different things for the birds to eat.
They put them out all around the garden and woodland areas and then spent time bird watching to see what they could see.
