On Monday, 5th February, the Birdman (Alan) from Eagle Heights Wildlife Foundation brought 4 birds of prey into school. He brought Alaska, the bald eagle and Sparky the barn owl who the pupils had their photo taken with. He also brought a falcon and a hawk. He flew Alaska over pupils' heads in the Sports Hall and let her walk around them on the mat. There was only one rule... no touching! Alan did, however, let some pupils touch the owl whose feathers were incredibly soft. We cannot thank Alan enough for his visit, we learnt so much about the birds, most of us had never seen them so close before, it was a great experience.
