The Queen's Platinum Jubilee trees have arrived in school and the Tunbridge Wells site trees have been planted.
Buzzard class had the honour of planting an Amelanchier Larmarckii near the MUGA. This tree is a beautiful, small tree offering year-round interest including spring blossom, colourful leaves and dark purple berries which the birds will love.
Pupils also planted an Acer Palmatum Dissectum 'Crimson Queen', a weeping Japanese Maple with lacy foliage which starts off burgundy red in the Spring and turns a vibrant crimson red in the Autumn. The Acer was planted in our newly developing sensory garden and we are looking forward to watching both trees grow and brighten our outdoor areas very soon.
Our Tonbridge pupils chose an Acer which is on its way to them, we look forward to sharing some photos once it's been planted.
