On Wednesday, 5th October one of our Key Stage 4 classes unearthed some Grass Snake eggs whilst clearing a compost bin. Without an appropriate place to house them outside, the class placed them in a vivarium in school so that they could hatch and be observed. The class researched and studied the snakes and created a safe shelter for them to live in. After an impromptu biology lesson on snakes at the end of the day on Friday, 7th October, seven healthy infant Grass Snakes were released into the wild.
