Warburtons “Values in People” Award
For a few years now our friends at Warburtons (the bread people) have supported us at Oakley School with bread making, healthy eating and professional employability workshops, as well as donating enormous amounts of bread for our Summer and Xmas Fairs, breakfast and cookery lessons. So credit where credit was due we decided to write a letter of thanks to Jonathan Warburton himself without the local team’s knowledge. The press department were so pleased with it that they entered the team into a national competition called the “Values in People Award”.
Well, last week Laura and Jess from the Paddock Wood division came into school to tell us that they had WON the award and brought their trophy in! Laura said she couldn’t believe her ears when she heard our Oakley School letter being read out by Jonathan himself!
